The first Crown Victoria was introduced in 1955 when Ford hit the market for
second best year since the 1923 model T. Its name came from the big wide stainless
steel running from the door pillars over the roof forming some kind of a "crown."
1955 Crown Victoria is a two-door hardtop but prettier, sleeker, and bigger compared
with the previous model it replaced. It had a flatter roof, longer sloped pillars
and less rear-window curvature than the regular Victorias.
A nice color combination for interior and exterior was a new and very cool looking
choice for the Crown Victoria highlighted by the stainless crown across the roof
line. This gorgeous 1955 Crown Victoria is one cool 1950s highway cruiser. A first
true factory of this is a rare find, especially one that looks and runs out and
drives down the highway like what a Crown Vic does. It will surely turn every
head when it goes down the road.
